Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is the latest game from Rocksteady Studios, the team that brought us the Arkham game series. What makes this title unique is that while we are still in the same Arkham world, this time around we visit Metropolis and try to solve a very intriguing case. We don’t play as Batman anymore, instead, we take the role of 4 Suicide Squad members.

What’s The Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League Plot?

While details are scarce at the time of this writing, we do have some idea regarding the plot of this game. We see Brainiac attacking Metropolis and controlling a variety of heroes that now become antiheroes. The Suicide Squad members, which in this case are King Shark, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and Harley Quinn are sent to kill the Alpha Target. After they eliminate some of the minions sent by Brainiac, they soon realize that the Alpha Target is none other than Superman. We can only assume that based on the game name, we will have to battle many of the Justice League members, which sounds great. Being an anti-hero is not that common in games.

Cooperative Gameplay

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League can be played solo, but you can also choose to play with friends. The game features up to 4-player coop. We don’t know if the 4 characters are the only ones available in the game, but we can only assume some other characters will be added to the tile too. This really sets the tone for a very immersive, unique game experience.

Will The Game Address Arkham’s Knight Ending?

There’s no specific statement to say something like that will happen. We don’t know exactly how connected the game will be to the Batman-focused series. But we can obviously expect some hints and ideas here and there. It might not be a whole lot, or there might be a lot of different easter-eggs. We don’t believe the game will focus that much on Batman if at all. Yet we can assume that Batman will be present in the game, in one form or another.

When is the release date for Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League?

What we saw is an in-engine teaser, so the game is quite a long way off. At the end of the trailer, we are shown a 2022 release date. There’s obviously a lot more work to do when it comes to completing Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League. What we do know however is that the game will take place in Metropolis and we will have yet another massive open world to explore.

Conclusion

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League sounds like a great superhero game with a twist. Handling the antiheroes is quite interesting, and it’s certain we can expect many intriguing moments. It’s unknown if multiplayer will be a major part of the game, however, we do know that you can play alone with AI if you want. It’s safe to say that Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is already a must-play game in everyone’s list, especially if you’re into superhero games.
