I can honestly say that I have never been so excited for a film release. With the announcement of Avengers Infinity War and Avengers 4 Endgame, I was taken back to my childhood as I threw my fist in the air with excitement. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has managed to do the very thing fans have dreamed of, and they did so with style. Eight years in the making, we are all brought to this exciting moment where it all comes together.
It’s clear from tweets by the directors and actors that something tragic is in store for us fans during this 3 hour long showing. As we prepare ourselves for t an emotional skydive, it would be fun to speculate what could potentially happen to our favorite heroes and heroines.

Iron Man
As much as it is going to hurt me to write this, I feel it could happen. One of my favorite MCU characters and favorite actor may bite the bullet and hang up his iron suit for good. Watching Stark’s one-on-one bout against Thanos in Infinity War filled me with a myriad of emotions. First I was excited for Tony as he fought against Thanos bringing out all the big guns. My excitement was short-lived as I quickly saw that Thanos had the upper hand and started to counter everything Stark through at him. Then came the moment where all hope was lost and Stark was stabbed. At that moment a rush of sadness ran through my body. This moment made me realize how much I appreciated Stark’s character. The one who started it all. Luckily, he survived this ordeal to make an appearance in Endgame.
Now it would make sense for the MCU to take out Stark’s character. Robert Downey Jr. has been playing Iron Man for over 10 years, and I’m sure the role is taxing on his body. Furthermore, his death would potentially open up the door for the next wave of superheroes. This is just speculation of course. It would hurt me to see Stark hang up his suit for good.
Captain America
If we know one thing about Captain America, it’s that he is always going to do what he believes is right, even if that means sacrificing himself and the opinions that others have of him. A lot of people are speculating that Cap may be the one to die in Avengers Endgame because of a tweet that actor, Chris Evan sent out a little while ago. The Tweet confirms Evans’ decision to leave the MCU and how emotional it has been for him and the rest of the crew. However, how Captain America departs from the MCU is still a mystery.
It wouldn’t be far fetched to think that Captain America would sacrifice himself in some way to save the other members of the Avengers or to just fulfill a crucial role in the plans to stop Thanos. Either way, if this does happen, Captain America will have a death fit for a hero of his stature.
Thanos
This death is more expected than the others. We can assume that the Avengers will find some way to take out Thanos in Avengers 4 Endgame, and the most logical way would be to kill him. After the Avengers beat Thanos, who do they fight next? There are many Marvel enemies who could potentially pose a threat to Earth’s mightiest heroes, and what if Thanos is partially responsible for bringing about this new villain? There are many things that could happen at the end of Avengers 4, let’s just hope we can cope with the events.
