Dr. Stone: 6 Amazing Things You Need to Know About Kohaku

For those of you who don’t know who Kohaku is, she comes from Dr. Stone. which is one of the most popular anime shows at the moment. Bolstering an impressive first season, Dr. Stone has introduced an interesting plot that unfolds as the characters discover more and more about the situation they’re in as they try to bring civilization back to where it once was.

The characters in Dr. Stone all have interesting personalities and abilities, but one of the most popular characters is Kohaku of the Ishigami Village. Kohaku has an impressive list of abilities and personality traits that make her one of my favorite characters from Dr. Stone.

Here are 6 cool things you should know about Kohaku.

6. She’s Drawn as a Japanese/American

Kohaku is drawn with blonde hair and big, blue eyes. Her hair is pinned up into a ruffled ponytail with a braided rope holding it in place. Kohaku is depicted wearing a navy blue dress that also has a braided rope added as an accessory. When you take a look at her face and figure, you can clearly see that she is depicted as half Japanese and half American.

5. Kohaku Means Amber in Japanese

Much like a lot of the other characters in the series, Kohaku is named after a mineral or stone. In the original Manga cover, she was drawn with amber eyes, but the creators stated that this was a mistake and drew her with blue eyes later on.

4. Kohaku And Senku

It’s clear from the beginning that Kohaku has a thing for Senku. Whenever Senku springs into action to solve a problem, she is left in awe as she watches him gather the necessary materials and conjure a plan to rectify the situation.

As Kohaku and Senku’s relationship grows, she eventually led Senku to the Ishigami village where Senku learns that her sister, Ruri, is dying. She then entrusts Senku to help treat her sister which shows that she really believes in Senku and the Kingdom of Science.

3. Kohaku is Caring and Loyal

Kohaku has a caring and delicate nature that easily makes her a fan favorite. Her loyalty is shown early on when she enters a fighting tournament in an effort to keep her older sister, Ruri, from marrying Magma. In turn, if she would have won the tournament, she would have had to marry her sister, as these were the conditions of the tournament.

2. How Old Is Kohaku

When Kohaku is first introduced into the series, she was at the young age of 16 years old. Immediately you can see that Kohaku is a talented fighter with a caring nature, so imagine how skilled she will be when she gets older and gains more experience. Kohaku isn’t the most intelligent person in the series, but if she spends enough time with Senku, she could become one of the strongest and smartest characters in the series.

1. She’s an Amazing Fighter

kohaku

When Kohaku was first introduced into the Dr. Stone series, she demonstrated her physical abilities and endurance that proves that she is one of the superior fighters in the show. She has unmatched speed, that she demonstrated by dodging a bolt of lightning just before impact and her strength was demonstrated by the ability to carry a huge pot of hot water to her dying sister each day to delay her death.

Kohaku’s weapon of choice is a shield and two daggers that she used against Tsukasa Shishio when they first met each other. Shishio claimed that she would have been an excellent fighter if she were alive before the petrification that turned everyone into stone.

Kohaku is one of the fan-favorite characters from Dr. Stone. Her strength, loyalty, and perseverance make her an instant asset to those who are in her presence.
